Description

A refreshing and hydrating cucumber lemonade perfect for hot summer days.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large cucumber, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar (or to taste)
  • 4 cups water
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the sliced cucumber and 1 cup of water. Blend until smooth.
  2. Strain the cucumber mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove the pulp.
  3. Add the fresh lemon juice and sugar to the cucumber juice in the pitcher.
  4. Pour in the remaining 3 cups of water and stir well until the sugar is dissolved.
  5. Chill the cucumber lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar according to your taste.
  • For a fizzy version, replace some of the water with sparkling water.
  • This drink can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
