Description

A flavorful Argentinian dish featuring tender steak marinated in zesty chimichurri sauce, perfect for grilling.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs flank steak
  • 3/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine parsley, cilantro, garlic, red wine vinegar, olive oil, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Whisk the ingredients together until well combined.
  3. Set aside half of the chimichurri sauce for serving later.
  4. Marinate the flank steak with the remaining chimichurri sauce. Cover and let it sit for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours for more flavor).
  5. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  6. Remove the steak from the marinade and shake off the excess.
  7. Grill the steak for 5-6 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness.
  8. Rest the steak for 5 minutes before slicing.
  9. Serve with the reserved chimichurri sauce drizzled on top.

Notes

Use fresh herbs for the chimichurri sauce to enhance flavor and always let the steak rest after cooking.
