Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 ounces mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes
  • 1 jar marinara sauce


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Mix until fully combined.
  4. Take a small amount of the meat mixture and flatten it in your hand, place a cube of mozzarella cheese in the center, and shape the meat around the cheese to form a ball.
  5. Repeat until all the mixture is used.
  6. Place the meatballs in a baking dish and cover with marinara sauce.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

These meatballs can be made ahead of time and refrigerated until ready to bake. They also freeze well.
