Description

A vibrant blend of fresh basil and sea salt that enhances the flavors of any dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1 cup sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to the lowest setting (usually around 170°F or 75°C).
  2. Wash the fresh basil leaves thoroughly to remove any dirt or insects.
  3. Dry the basil leaves using a salad spinner or by gently patting them with a clean kitchen towel.
  4. Spread the basil leaves on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  5. Place the baking sheet in the oven and leave it for about 30–60 minutes, checking occasionally until the leaves are dry but not browned.
  6. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the basil cool completely.
  7. Combine the dried basil and sea salt in a food processor.
  8. Pulse the mixture until the basil is finely chopped and well mixed with the salt.
  9. Transfer the Basil Salt to an airtight container for storage.

Notes

Ensure the basil is dry before mixing with salt to prevent clumping.
