Description

A delightful and quick recipe for Bang Bang Salmon featuring crispy salmon fillets drizzled with a creamy sweet and spicy sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional garnishes: chopped green onions, sesame seeds, lime wedges

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry and season both sides with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
  3. Cook salmon skin-side down for 5-7 minutes; flip and cook another 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through (145°F internal temperature).
  4. While the salmon cooks, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and rice vinegar or lime juice in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  5. Plate the cooked salmon, drizzle with bang bang sauce, and garnish as desired.

Notes

For a diabetes-friendly option, use sugar-free alternatives for the sauce. Ensure not to overcrowd the skillet for a perfect sear.
