Description

A refreshing and tropical herbal tea made with mango and hibiscus.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups dried hibiscus flowers
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 ripe mango, peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup honey or agave syrup (optional)
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Add the dried hibiscus flowers to the boiling water and let it steep for about 15 minutes.
  3. Strain the hibiscus tea into a pitcher and discard the flowers.
  4. Add the diced mango to the warm tea and blend until smooth.
  5. If desired, stir in honey or agave syrup to sweeten.
  6. Let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.
  7. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness according to your taste.
  • This tea can be served hot or cold.
  • For a stronger mango flavor, add more mango or use mango puree.
