Instructions
- In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until warm but not boiling.
- In a separate bowl, mix the cocoa powder and sugar together.
- Once the milk is warm, whisk in the cocoa and sugar mixture until fully dissolved.
- Add the vanilla extract and stir well.
- Pour the hot chocolate into a mug and top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings if desired.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use whole milk or add a splash of cream.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar according to your taste.
