Description

A rich and creamy hot chocolate recipe perfect for warming up on cold days.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup whipped cream (optional)
  • Chocolate shavings (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until warm but not boiling.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the cocoa powder and sugar together.
  3. Once the milk is warm, whisk in the cocoa and sugar mixture until fully dissolved.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and stir well.
  5. Pour the hot chocolate into a mug and top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings if desired.
