Instructions
- Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs and then mix in the melted butter and vanilla extract.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
- Pour the batter into the preheated waffle iron and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions until the waffles are cooked through and crispy.
- Serve warm with your favorite toppings such as whipped cream, ice cream, or syrup.
