- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and mash them with milk, sour cream, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and add minced garlic, cooking until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink, about 3-4 minutes.
- Pour in the heavy cream and simmer until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
- Serve the creamy garlic shrimp over the mashed potatoes and garnish with chopped parsley.
Notes
- For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half.
