Description

A delicious and easy breakfast option combining the flavors of apple and cinnamon in a quesadilla.


Ingredients

  • 2 flour tortillas
  • 1 apple, peeled and sliced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • Butter for cooking


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the sliced apples with cinnamon and brown sugar.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little butter.
  3. Place one tortilla in the skillet and sprinkle half of the cheese on top.
  4. Add the apple mixture over the cheese, then top with the remaining cheese and the second tortilla.
  5. Cook until the bottom tortilla is golden brown, then carefully flip and cook the other side until golden and the cheese is melted.
  6. Remove from the skillet, slice into wedges, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Feel free to add nuts or raisins for extra texture.
  • Serve with maple syrup or yogurt for dipping.
