Hey There! I’m Anthony Costello
Food & Lifestyle Photographer | Visual Storyteller | Creative Explorer | Age 29
Ohio-based photographer who believes that every drink deserves to look as good as it tastes.
Where My Lens Found Its Focus
Photography first came into my life as a hobby. I was that kid carrying a camera everywhere — capturing light streaming through trees, the details of everyday life, and eventually, food. I quickly realized that food photography was about more than just making dishes look nice — it was about telling a story people could feel.
When I connected with Sipresh, it clicked: these drinks weren’t just recipes, they were experiences. And my job was to show the color, freshness, and energy that makes each one exciting.
The First Shot That Hooked Me
I’ll never forget the first time I styled and shot a citrus spritz for Sipresh. I placed it by a sunny window, added a few mint leaves, and snapped away. When I saw the vibrant glow of the orange and the sparkle in the glass, I realized: this wasn’t just a drink, it was an invitation to pause and enjoy life.
That moment made me fall in love with food photography all over again — not as documentation, but as a way to inspire connection.
The Challenges I’ve Faced
Photography looks effortless when you see the final image, but behind the scenes it’s trial and error. I’ve battled with flat lighting, spilled drinks on backdrops, and hours of editing that didn’t feel quite right.
The hardest lesson? Learning that perfection doesn’t create connection — authenticity does. A slice of lemon slightly off-center or a drop of condensation running down a glass can make an image more alive than any “perfect” shot.
How I See the World Now
Today, my approach is all about vibrancy and accessibility. I want Sipresh photos to feel real — like you could reach out and grab the drink yourself. My photography celebrates fresh ingredients, bold colors, and natural light, because those things make people feel good.
I aim to capture not just a recipe, but a mood: refreshing mornings, cozy evenings, celebratory toasts, or the calm of sipping tea.
My Photography Philosophy
- Good food photography tells a story, not just a recipe.
- Natural light creates the most honest beauty.
- Imperfections make images relatable and human.
- Color is energy — and drinks should radiate it.
- Every image should invite the viewer to take part.
What I Bring to Sipresh
My role at Sipresh is to make every recipe look inspiring and approachable. Through bright, bold photography, I help bridge the gap between the screen and the glass in your hand.
I don’t just want you to see the drink — I want you to imagine yourself making it, tasting it, and sharing it with people you love. That’s the power of visuals, and that’s what I bring to our community.
When I’m Off Camera
Outside of photography, I’m often out exploring the local food scene, hiking trails around Ohio, or sketching ideas for creative shoots. I’m a big fan of music festivals, coffee culture, and learning new ways to tell stories through visuals. Creativity is my fuel, no matter the medium.
Let’s Stay Inspired Together
If you’re someone who loves the beauty of everyday rituals — whether it’s morning tea, a weekend smoothie, or a sparkling mocktail — I’d love to connect with you through my work. At Sipresh, I share images that remind us to slow down and savor.
